Zimele Broadcasting Services (Pty) Ltd was founded in 1996 and is a privately owned South African company with a B-BBEE level 2 status.
Zimele comes from the Zulu word meaning “independence” and “to stand out” and that’s just what we strive to achieve; standing out from the crowd and always acting in the best interests of our clients.
With over 20 years’ industry experience, Zimele provides end to end solutions for the audio-visual and broadcasting industries.

Leon Labuschagne
Director
Leon has been in the broadcasting industry for the past 33 years, having started his career at SABC in 1976 as a videotape operator. He has a solid current knowledge and vast industry experience.
Ntombi Mazibuko
Director
Ntombi has been with Zimele for 10 years and has gained a lot of experience in the broadcast industry since joining the company. She has recently been appointed as Director and heads up the administrative department.
Lizelle Nel
Operations Manager
Lizelle has gathered vast experience in broadcast engineering and sales over the past 15 years. Through her outstanding relations with our clients she is the ideal person for heading up the operational side of the business.

Andre Oberholzer
Sales Executive
Andre joined Zimele in 2007 and he is a Sales Executive specialising in Audio-Visual solutions.
Shana Mulder
Receptionist & Admin Assistant
Shana is the person who will greet you with a smile, whether on the phone or at our showroom in Randburg. She has been with Zimele since 2017 and also assists with administration.
Shaun De Ponte
Solutions Architect
Shaun has joined Zimele as a consultant solutions architect and with 12 years of industry experience, he is a great addition to the team. He specialises in end-to-end post-production workflows from technical workflows and post-production infrastructure management to advice and consulting.

Peter Hangelbroek
Service & Sales Consultant
Peter is a Video IT Engineer with over 15 years’ industry experience. He has been consulting for Zimele since 2019 and is our go-to-guy for installation, support and value-added services.
